The podcast aims give listeners a snapshot of the essence of a particular Alcoholics Meeting in Melbourne, Australia as well as the format. This may give listeners a greater interest in attending the meeting in person or may give them some relief in the same way that a speaker tape would.

To protect anonymity speakers can use their first name or a pseudonym. All recordings are taken offline after a 12 month period.

Meetings are recorded once per month in the free to the public Podcast Studio 4 at the State Library of Victoria.
